The San Mateo-Foster City Council is the largest council in 17th District PTA, which represents all PTAs in San Mateo County. We represent about 5,000 of the nearly 20,000 PTA members in San Mateo County, with active PTA units in all twenty elementary and middle schools in the San Mateo-Foster City School District.
The PTA Council works with the school district (staff, administrators and teachers), Board of Trustees, and PTAs at 20 schools to support students and families of the San Mateo Foster City School District and to improve the education, health and welfare of all children and youth.
PTA Council officers are available for advice and help. Each school has a Council PTA officer liaison, but please feel free to contact us with your questions or concerns. Council collects dues from every unit to run our programs, which are outlined in each units' bylaws.
